I have Europe, Vietnam, Israel and North Atlantic, plus Exp Pack 1 & 2, in a combined install (they will automatically install combined for you) and very happy with the install. One of my favourites is to fly the DLC Kiwi A-4K Skyhawk in the Rolling Thunder and Linebacker Vietnam campaigns. The Campaign Customizer DLC is a good buy so you can easily add your favourite mod or DLC plane to a campaign. There's an option for campaign missions to start inbound to the target area, and you can quit the mission after the objectives are achieved (landing isn't that well modeled but reasonable fun for a change now and again) it's possible to knock out three or four campaign missions in an hour or so, and a full campaign in a weekend.Įxpansion Pack 2 for Strike Fighters Europe is a good buy because it includes the Mission Editor (or you can buy the Mission Editor separately as a DLC add on.) Campaigns are great fun and the best way to play the game IMHO. Mission builder is semi-automated and really easy to use, but doesn't have the level of detail found in IL-2 FMB. Terrains don't compare to IL-2 but they get the job done. Player flight models are OK, AI flight models are a bit over-simplified IMHO. 60s/70s avionics modeled in a fairly simple but easily accessible way, BVR and IR missile duels are great fun. Great aircraft, weapon and vehicle models. Great accessible game play, happy medium between arcade and full flight sim. Highly recommended combat flight sim "lite".
